The Ministry of Education has entered into a contract with Fujitsu Consulting (Canada) Inc. to deliver a new hosted student information service to replace BCeSIS.

By completing the attached Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Education, participating school authorities are asked to confirm their commitment to implementing the new student information service prior to March 2016.  Signed MOUs should be sent to:

It would be appreciated if the Memorandum of Understanding could be returned to the Ministry of Education by February 16, 2014.

The new service will be implemented in two main waves.  Wave 1 will take place between April 1, 2014 and March 31, 2015.  The second wave will run from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016.  School authorities are asked to indicate their initial implementation plan by completing Schedule A.  Schools wishing to deploy the new common student information service in their schools in the first wave should respond as soon as possible.

It is important to note that BCeSIS will be decommissioned in the spring of 2016 and all schools currently using BCeSIS must transition to the new common service or another solution by that time.

Questions about the new common student information service should be sent to Andrew Macauley at andrew.macauley@gov.bc.ca.
